Welcome

Welcome to my online portfolio. As a brief introduction, I am a software developer from Stockport, Cheshire, England. Here you will find examples of my work and various other pieces of information related to myself.

With any piece of development work I undertake, I make sure current standards and requirements are met, to ensure the final outcome is both appealling and useable. I specialise in custom web application development, using Microsoft's .NET framework. Having already worked with clients such as Vodafone, O2 and Sky, I have developed the skills needed to ensure a client receives the outcome they expect.

And here we have yet another update. I should really post more but I've been very busy of late. Recent news... well... there's plenty going on at the minute. Me and Nat have just booked a what looks like a lovely 2 week holiday to Mexico next June. It's an all-inclusive holiday in an adults only resort. One word.... heaven! We also celebrated our year anniversary last week by having a lovely meal in Le Petit Blanc in Manchester. I experienced my first ever medium steak which was extremely bloody. Computer wise, I have almost finished the design and implementation of the Stop The Blackout website. I have also started implementing various custom controls for my ASP.NET 3-tier control library. The only control so far implemented is a news control which allows a user full functionality to implement news features or blog like sections within a site. A decision has yet to be made regarding giving a developer full access to the list of news items. Currently, no news items can be accessed. I have also started the development of an error log viewer application which can be used integrated into website applications for full, detailed error reporting using Web Services. I'll probably give you an update or so in a few days (maybe weeks) time.

I've just got back from Halkidiki and have been working now at Ultimedia for a whole week. Everything is good so far and I'm sure it'll get even better in the future. The directors and other guys are really good to get on with and the work is getting more and more interesting by the day. Also, I know I said I'd upload photographs soon, but I have been developing a new 3-tier architecture plan which will be generic for multiple sites. This is why most development on the site has come to a halt. The reason for this architecture project is to make web development easier and reuse multiple sections of code. It also provides a stronger code structure with regards to the different layers in the proposed architecture. I am currently in the initial stages of design and things are going well. If you require more information then please contact me. I'll also update this site with regards to it's current status. I may even develop it's own page as a small dedication and description. I'm also trying my hand in Google's Adsense. Just as an experiment I have placed it both in this site and the new Stop The Blackout site which you can view at www.stopblackout.com. Thats abouts it for now.

It's been a good few months since I last updated my website. I think its about time for a small update. I have recently left my job at LBM. After 7 days holiday in Halkidiki (Greece), I will be starting as a Software Developer for a company called Ultimedia in Reddish, Stockport. In other news, I am no longer in a band called 'Waiger'. We are continuing under the new name of 'Stop The Blackout'. Also, I will be updating more of the site when I have some time. That's all for now folks.

Me and Nat have now been living in our new apartment for two whole weeks and I don't think it could be any better. It was a long and stressful two months but was well worth it. Also, today is my first day back at work after a lovely two weeks off which was extremely relaxing and definitely needed. If I remember today, I'm going to upload some pictures of things me and Nat have been up to in the past two weeks.

Today me and Nat celebrated being together for 6 months. It was brilliant night, mainly fuelled by champagne, pool and lots of lovely food. I don't think I could be any happier.

After a long wait, we have finally received the keys to our brand new apartment. It's gorgeous and I seriously can not wait to move in any longer.

Last week, me and Nat decided we would do what we have been thinking about for a long time. We have just put an initial deposit down for a one bedroom luxury apartment in Houldsworth. It is probably the nicest thing I have ever seen. I really can not wait to move in. Just ashame I'll have to wait at least 4 weeks before we can. I've also uploaded a couple of new tracks to my portfolio.

First of all, I hope everyone had a happy new year. Secondly, it's my birthday today. I am the grand old age of 22 and I don't feel one bit different. Tonight should be good as my girlfriend is taking me out.

I'm back in work today after a long, hard-earned week off. Barcelona has to be probably the most amazing place I have ever been to in my life. Not only because of the city, but because I spent 4 whole days with my gorgeous girlfriend, Nat. It really was the time of my life and I'm looking forward to doing something like it again. I shall upload some pictures as soon as I get a chance to. In other news, next week I start a week long, fast track course in C#.NET.

Today is important for two things. Firstly, I am about to go to Barcelona for 4 days in a nice, 4 star hotel with my gorgeous girlfriend. Also, it is our 2 month anniversary today. I must say that the past two months has been some of the best times of my life. I have never enjoyed myself this much so yeah, things are rather great at the moment. Also, after today I am off work for about three weeks.

Today was the first day of my new job since graduating from university. Everyone seems nice and interesting and I think I am going to enjoy my time working for LBM as a web developer.

After almost a three month search I have finally found myself my first graduate job. I will be working as a web developer for a direct marketing company called LBM in Altrincham, Manchester. It has taken almost 5 years of hard work to get this job and I'm extremely pleased!

I've just got home from V-Festival and what an amazing time it was. I saw some amazing bands which include Oceansize, Pure Reason Revolution, Kasabian, Faithless, Jim Noir, Radiohead, Razorlight, We Are Scientists, Bloc Party and Biffy Clyro. I am definitely going to try and go to Glastonbury next year.

What an interesting place Ibiza is. We stayed in a hotel about 40 minutes walk from the heart of San Antonio Bay. Although we did not go to any super clubs, I really enjoyed myself and have never drank so much in my life. Vodka and Red Bull is definitely off the cards for a few months! I'll upload a selection of photographs soon.
